We are located at 2025 Courtneypark Drive East, Mississauga. When you arrive at the address, proceed up the driveway and find a spot in the parking lot.

 

 

Course Overview

 

This four-day course enhances the student’s knowledge and prepares them for incidents involving airports and aircraft. Students will be fit tested for a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) mask, complete SCBA confidence drills, operate hand lines, understand and use aircraft doors and drive and operate ARFF vehicles. Students will also extinguish a 37 m2 (400 ft2) flammable liquid fire with dry chemical, complete interior aircraft search, rescue and fire attack operations and operate portable fire extinguishers. Several scenarios have been crafted to combine and further develop these skills. Students will also extinguish a 456 m2 (5,000 ft2) fire utilizing ARFF vehicles.
 
This program reviews equipment available to responders and teaches techniques and procedures for safe operations.

 

 

Course Details

 

Course times run from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm daily. Each day will be filled with practical skills development. We will generally have one hour for lunch break and we have refrigerators and microwaves available onsite. There is also a wide variety of restaurants available near FESTI. 
We have a water fountain and encourage you to bring a water bottle. 

 

Change rooms are available.

 

 

Required gear

 

For the practical portion, please dress according to the weather as we will be outside. Please bring your own personal safety glasses and safety footwear. Structural firefighter’s protective clothing will be provided.
