We are located at 2025 Courtneypark Drive East, Mississauga. When you arrive, proceed up the driveway and find a spot in the parking lot. Upon entering the building, feel free to have a seat in the cafeteria and we will meet there. Bathroom facilities are located near the elevator.
Course Overview This course follows NFPA 1006 Chapter 13 and provides you with the techniques necessary to safely respond to an incident involving machinery rescue. Throughout the course, our experienced Instructors will provide you with the information to correctly handle these complex scenes and guide you through correct equipment manipulation to safely extricate patients. During the course, an emphasis is placed on tool practice, and you will have many opportunities to utilize hand and power tools to complete disentanglements and rescues and develop confidence in your tool work through progressive skill stations.
This course will start at 8 am the daily hours will be 8 am to 4 pm. This course will include a mix of theoretical and practical lessons. We will generally have 45 minutes for lunch break, and we have refrigerators and microwaves available. There is also a wide variety of restaurants available near FESTI. During the lectures, you may indulge in water, coffee and snacks within the class. We have a water fountain and encourage you to bring a water bottle. Coffee is not provided during this course. Changerooms and shower facilities are available.
Required gear Please bring your steel toe boots, safety glasses and gloves. This training involves exterior evolutions and practical work so please dress according to weather. Feel free to bring your own personal issued rescue gear if you have it including helmet, safety glasses, coveralls and boots. If you do not have bunker gear available, we have gear that you may utilize.
